Location:RASA, 49A Orsmond Street, Hindmarsh, SA
This event is in the past.
The Steering Committee for the Past Forced Adoptions Commemorative Public Artwork would like to invite adoptees to have some further input and involvement in the projects development.
There was a high quality and diverse response to the Artists Brief we sent out for the Past Forced Adoptions Commemorative Public Artwork. The steering committee have shortlisted 3 finalist artists / artist teams to now take the next step of developing a concept design.
You are invited to the next 2 phases of the project, if you would like to have some further input and involvement.
The first of theses will be on the 10th November, meeting at RASA, where we will be discussing the site particulars with the artists / artist teams. The artists / artists teams will have been to the site first thing in the morning, and met with the steering committee and a representative from the Adelaide City Council, and will then head back to RASA for further discussions and input from you at 10.30am. We will have photos of the site to show.
The next phase is the Concept Design Proposal. This is where the artist / artist teams will present their concept design to the steering committee, and you are invited to this meeting to hear the design proposal presentations. Melinda and Liz, who are the 2 community representatives on the steering committee, will be available for conversations with you after the presentations, and then the steering committee will meet to make a final decision.
